Our Avocado Oil is cold-pressed, a special type of extraction that ensures all the avocado’s nutrients are retained. Just like our beloved avocado, cold-pressed Avocado Oil is rich and creamy, making for an easily absorbable moisturiser that works to soothe your skin.
Avocado Oil smells like avocado and has a slight green tint.
The Health Benefits of Cold-Pressed Avocado Oil
● It’s no secret that avocados are a health-food favourite. That’s because they contain natural antioxidants and anti-inflammatories like fatty acids, beta carotene, and vitamins A, D, and E. Cold-pressed Avocado Oil allows you to soak up these nutrients topically, which helps to moisturise and soften your skin.
● The vitamin E in Avocado Oil works to protect your skin from damaging UV sun rays.
● Cold-pressed Avocado Oil is very hydrating, meaning it can soften and soothe itchy, irritated skin conditions like eczema, dermatitis and psoriasis. As an anti-inflammatory, avocado oil can reduce the redness and inflammation that comes with acne.
● Cold-pressed Avocado Oil can be beneficial for dandruff and an itchy flaky scalp, offering hydration and a soothing effect.
How to use Avocado Oil
Mega moisturiser: Lather 2-3 drops onto your skin after cleansing. Use before moisturiser or even as a standalone moisturiser.
Avocado bath time: Add 1-2 tablespoons of cold-pressed Avocado Oil to your bath, especially if you have eczema, psoriasis or dry skin.
Leave-in conditioner: Massage into your scalp while your hair’s still wet after washing. Then, let your hair dry naturally.
Hot oil treatment: Wash your hair. Heat up 3-6 tablespoons of Avocado Oil in the microwave for 10 seconds. Check it’s not too hot before applying from the roots to the ends of your hair. Leave for 20 mins then rinse and apply conditioner.
