Ginkgo is a protective herb for your brain, helping it function properly by increasing blood flow to it. Studies suggest it can protect against and support the body in dealing with altitude sickness, Alzheimer’s, senile dementia, poor memory and hearing loss. It can also help relieve fatigue, stress and anxiety.
Sometimes, poor memory and concentration can be down to stress, anxiety or lack of sleep, so we’ve added gotu kola into our Focus tincture to support your nervous system. Gotu kola also gently stimulates your brain by improving blood circulation to it.
Tulsi is an adaptogenic, nourishing herb that supports your brain when it’s under a lot of stress (working long hours, for instance). Tulsi enhances your cognitive function and can ease symptoms of stress and anxiety.
An important Ayurvedic herb, Brahmi (also known as Bacopa) enhances cognitive function by increasing circulation to your brain. It can improve your short- and long-term memory, concentration and mental performance.
Rosemary is an excellent herb for concentration as it relaxes your muscles, capillaries and arteries, which in turn enhances blood flow. Rosemary has this effect particularly on the head. Improved blood flow to the brain means better nutrition and oxygenation and less inflammation – and this also helps maximise concentration, memory and mental clarity, ease fatigue as well as helping alleviate headaches.
Frankincense is a herb derived from the resin of the Frankincense tree. It is also known as Boswellia resin and is used as a brain tonic. It is a neuroprotective herb that helps prevent cognitive decline.
This product contains ginkgo leaf, brahmi, gotu kola, tulsi, rosemary, frankincense, purified water and ethyl alcohol.
Our Tinctures are alcohol based. Using alcohol enables us to effectively extract a wide range of constituents from plants. It also means that tinctures keep well - alcohol prevents the growth of bacteria and inhibits enzyme activity. Tinctures are easy to take and to carry around with you as you only need small amounts (generally of 2-3 teaspoons per day). If you cannot or would not like to take alcohol in your medicine, please consider our herbal supplements or herbal teas within the same range and/or consult one of our medical herbalists so that they can devise a bespoke prescription for you.
Dilute 5ml of tincture in water and consume two to three times daily before or after food or as recommended by your healthcare advisor. Do not exceed recommended amount or use this product as a substitute for a varied diet. Not suitable in pregnancy.
