Epsom salts

Epsom salts are rich in magnesium and sulphate – both very important minerals for the healthy functioning of the body. They have been used for centuries to relax muscles, loosen stiff joints and ease any pain, particularly in the shoulders, neck, back and skull. Soaking in a warm bath of Epsom salts is wonderfully relaxing: it reduces stress and alleviates any aches, swelling, inflamed and/or irritated skin conditions. It can also support skin detoxification and promote better sleep.

Ginger

Ginger is warming and stimulates circulation. It promotes blood flow and oxygenation throughout the body. It has been traditionally used in Ayurvedic medicine to enhance the ‘fire’ in the body. This makes ginger a great antidote to cold hands and feet! Ginger also has antimicrobial properties, so it helps to prevent and address any infections.

Rosemary

Rosemary improves peripheral blood flow. By enhancing circulation throughout the body, it reduces inflammation, stiffness and muscle tension. It also specifically increases blood flow to the head, thereby relieving headaches, heightening alertness and improving memory. Rosemary also calms anxiety and relieves fatigue.

Tulsi

One of the most sacred herbs in traditional Ayurvedic medicine, tulsi is wonderfully warming, decongesting and uplifting. It gently improves metabolism, reduces lethargy, uplifts the spirits and clears the airways. It is also anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial, which means it can help prevent infections and alleviate any pain or swelling. A great remedy for foggy mindedness, tulsi also relieves anxiety, low mood and headaches.

Lemongrass essential oil

Lemongrass essential oil has a beautifully uplifting, refreshing and energising scent. It boosts circulation, alleviates stress and anxiety, relieves headaches, and reduces any pain and inflammation.

Mandarin essential oil

With a sweet floral and fruity fresh aroma, mandarin essential oil is both uplifting and comforting, creating a sense of calm whilst also leaving you feeling refreshed. It strengthens the nervous system, restoring energy levels and uplifting the mood.

Grapefruit essential oil

The sweet, citrusy smell of grapefruit essential oil will wipe away fatigue and energise you. Like other citrus fruits, grapefruit is rich in skin-protecting antioxidants, and has gentle cleansing effects on the skin.
