Supporting Sensitive Nerve Pathways, Muscular Comfort & Healthy Peripheral Circulation
Nerve Oil is a practitioner-formulated, warming botanical body oil expertly developed by our Medical Herbalists to naturally comfort sensitive nerve pathways, ease musculoskeletal tension, support healthy peripheral circulation, and encourage physical relaxation. This carefully balanced whole-plant formulation is designed to support individuals experiencing radiating lower back and leg discomfort, localized nerve sensitivity, persistent muscle stiffness, tingling, or physical tension. By combining traditional herbal infused oils with therapeutic essential oils, Nerve Oil provides targeted botanical support for areas affected by physical strain while encouraging the body's natural tissue recovery processes.
Supporting Sensitive Nerve Pathways Naturally
Radiating discomfort, localized nerve sensitivity, tingling and muscular tightness can occur when peripheral nerves and the surrounding muscles become irritated or placed under physical strain. Many people experience these sensations along the pathway of the sciatic nerve, where discomfort may extend from the lower back into the buttock, leg or foot, although similar symptoms can arise from a variety of musculoskeletal and peripheral nerve conditions.
Our Medical Herbalists have carefully selected a synergistic blend of whole medicinal herbs and essential oils—including St John's Wort, Cayenne, Comfrey, Wintergreen, Frankincense and Sandalwood—that have all been traditionally used to support healthy peripheral circulation, comfort sensitive nerve pathways, ease muscular tension, and support the body's natural tissue recovery processes. Working in harmony, these carefully selected botanicals create a warming botanical body oil designed to support your daily physical recovery routine while helping to nourish both the skin and the tissues beneath.
Why Choose a Herbal Massage Oil?
Unlike many conventional topical gels, herbal massage oils combine the therapeutic benefits of massage with traditional whole-plant botanicals that remain in prolonged contact with the skin. Carefully blended into nourishing Sweet Almond and Extra Virgin Olive carrier oils, this practitioner-formulated preparation allows the botanical oils and essential oils to be comfortably massaged into targeted areas as part of your daily wellness routine.
Supplied in a 100ml amber glass bottle with an integrated glass pipette for precise application, Nerve Oil is made exclusively from 100% natural, plant-based botanical oils and essential oils. Every formula is vegan-friendly and free from synthetic additives, artificial fragrances, mineral oils and chemical stabilisers, allowing the carefully selected botanicals to remain the focus of the formulation.
Key Botanicals at a Glance
St John's Wort Oil (Hypericum perforatum): A traditional botanical relied upon to comfort localized tissue inflammation, ease radiating nerve pathway sensitivity, and soothe deep physical discomfort.
Cayenne Oil (Capsicum annuum): A potent, warming oil traditionally used as a circulation stimulant and topical counter-irritant to help ease localized nerve irritation.
Comfrey Oil (Symphytum officinale): Historically celebrated by herbalists to support the natural repair of overworked muscles, joints and injured tissues.
Wintergreen Essential Oil (Gaultheria procumbens): Naturally rich in soothing plant compounds, traditionally applied to ease localized stiffness and comfort overactive nerve pathways.
Frankincense & Sandalwood Essential Oils: A complementary botanical pair traditionally used to support healthy peripheral circulation, ease muscle spasms, and support tissue integrity.
Supporting Sensitive Nerve Pathways & Muscular Comfort
Over-stimulated, irritated or physically compressed nerves can manifest as radiating discomfort, localized sensitivity, and sensations of tingling or numbness in the back, limbs, hands or feet. Rather than relying on a single botanical, our Medical Herbalists have combined warming circulatory herbs, restorative infused oils and therapeutic essential oils to provide complementary support for sensitive nerve pathways, muscular tension and the body's natural tissue recovery processes.
Within traditional Western herbal medicine, St John's Wort oil and Wintergreen essential oil have long been valued for bringing comforting botanical support to areas experiencing physical strain, tissue irritation and localized nerve sensitivity. Wintergreen contains a natural abundance of methyl salicylate, a plant compound widely recognised for the comforting warming sensation it provides when applied topically. Working together, these botanicals help support the radiating and sharp physical sensations often experienced along long nerve pathways, including those extending from the lower back through the hips, down the legs and into the feet.
Healthy Peripheral Circulation & Warming Botanical Support
Supporting physical comfort involves both easing muscular tension and encouraging healthy peripheral circulation. This formulation incorporates warming Cayenne (Capsicum annuum) oil, a traditional topical circulation stimulant that interacts with local sensory nerve receptors to help moderate overactive sensory responses associated with physical tension. Combined with Lavender and Frankincense essential oils, this carefully balanced blend helps support healthy peripheral circulation and encourage the movement of oxygen and nutrients to areas under physical strain.
By supporting healthy circulation, these botanicals assist the body's natural processes involved in clearing metabolic stagnation while helping to ease localized stiffness, muscular tightness and tissue tension.
Supporting Tissue Recovery & Muscular Relaxation
Persistent muscular tension can place additional strain on already sensitive nerve pathways. To help prevent this cycle from becoming self-perpetuating, our Medical Herbalists have combined Comfrey oil, Calendula oil and Lavender essential oil—botanicals traditionally used to support the body's natural tissue recovery processes and care for overworked muscles, ligaments, joints and connective tissues.
Alongside these restorative botanicals, the antispasmodic—or muscle-relaxing and tension-easing—properties traditionally associated with Lavender and Sandalwood essential oils help encourage muscular relaxation while supporting the skin's natural barrier and promoting a comforting sense of physical ease.

Getting the Most from Your Nerve Oil
Nerve Oil is designed to become part of your daily recovery routine. For best results, apply consistently and allow the carefully selected botanicals to support sensitive nerve pathways, healthy peripheral circulation and muscular relaxation through regular massage.
Standard Application
Apply approximately one full pipette of oil to the affected area two to three times daily. The amount can be adjusted depending on the size of the area being treated.
Warm the oil thoroughly between your palms before gently massaging it into the skin for around one minute. Massage helps distribute the botanical oils evenly while encouraging healthy peripheral circulation and allowing the formulation to be comfortably absorbed.
For Sensitive Areas
If the area feels too tender or sensitive to massage, simply smooth the oil gently over the skin without applying firm pressure. The botanical oils will still absorb effectively and provide comforting topical support.
Overnight Application
For extended botanical support, apply a generous layer of Nerve Oil before bedtime and allow it to remain on the skin overnight.

Many people notice a comforting warming sensation shortly after application due to the presence of Cayenne and Wintergreen, botanicals traditionally used as topical counter-irritants. As with many traditional herbal preparations, consistent application over two to three weeks allows the botanicals to provide the greatest level of support as part of your daily recovery routine.
Apply approximately one pipette of oil to the affected area—such as the lower back, hips, buttocks, thighs, calves or feet—two to three times daily. Warm the oil between your palms before gently massaging it into the skin. For more intensive support, apply in the morning, late afternoon and again before bedtime. Always wash your hands thoroughly after application.
Not necessarily. If the area feels too tender or sensitive to massage, simply smooth the oil gently over the skin without applying firm pressure. The botanical oils will still be comfortably absorbed. Where appropriate, a gentle one-minute massage may help encourage healthy peripheral circulation and muscular relaxation.
As Nerve Oil is applied externally, many people choose to use it alongside their existing healthcare routine. However, if you are taking prescription blood-thinning medication or have an underlying medical condition, we recommend speaking with your GP or contacting one of our Medical Herbalists before use.
