Raspberry leaf

Raspberry leaf is a powerful astringent with specific affinity for the female reproductive system. It gently tones and strengthens the uterine and pelvic muscles, helping restore the elasticity of the womb and uterine ligaments and supporting recovery from childbirth. Raspberry leaf has a powerful vulnerary action, meaning that it can help heal wounds internally and externally. It is also rich in minerals (including iron, calcium and magnesium), vitamins (including vitamins A and C) and antioxidants, as well as having anti-inflammatory properties. It is also effective at promoting milk production — and its nutritive qualities help ensure that the milk will be optimally nourishing for the baby.

Nettle leaf

Nettle leaves are highly nutritious – they are rich in vitamins A and C and minerals, particularly iron, calcium, silica, magnesium and potassium. All of these nutrients are essential for the maintenance of vibrant health and vitality. Nettle also protects the gut lining from irritation and infection, stimulates liver and kidney function, relieves fluid retention and enhances the elimination of toxins via the urine. This makes it effective at both gently cleansing and nourishing the body, bringing vitality to mum and baby. It also has an amazing ability to adjust breast milk production, increasing or reducing the flow as required. Nettle brings nutrition, balanced energy and well-rounded support to the body’s systems for both mum and baby.

Fennel

This aromatic, uplifting herb soothes and aids digestion and enhances nutrient absorption. Its antispasmodic action eases mild cramps, spasms and colics, and is also very efficient at stimulating lactation in nursing mothers.
