Himalayan salt

Himalayan salt is rich in an impressively wide array of trace minerals required by the body, such as magnesium, iron, calcium and zinc. Soaking your body in this salt is a great way to nourish and soothe your skin. It helps to maintain the skin’s natural barrier, supporting hydration and keeping irritants out. Himalayan salt also enhances skin detoxification, not only through its gentle exfoliating action, but also by absorbing dirt and toxins and thanks to its natural antibacterial properties. It rejuvenates and softens the skin to give it a natural glow and vibrancy.

Calendula oil

It also acts as an antiseptic, so it can help prevent and support the body in dealing with any infections, wounds or rashes.  It is a well-loved herb, often included in herbal skincare recipes. This bright orange flower has anti-inflammatory properties and is rich in antioxidants that protect the skin from damage caused by stress or pollutants. 

Oatstraw

Oatstraw is renowned for its soothing and nourishing effect on the nervous system, like a warming herbal hug! It effectively relieves all manner of stress, exhaustion, irritation, anxiety or insomnia. It is perfect for restoring life to tired feet and achy muscles. Oatstraw also contains silica and other minerals that are needed for strong bones, hair, teeth and nails. Due to its unique soothing effects, it is particularly supportive for inflamed, tired, irritated or dry skin.

Rose petals 

Aromatically, the delicate smell of rose alone is enough to calm and fill a busy mind with a loving reassurance that all will be ok. We use rose petals in our pregnancy bath salts because they are perfect for uplifting the mood as well as tonifying, nourishing and calming the skin. 

Chamomile

The golden yellow flowerheads of German chamomile alleviate inflammation and skin irritation, support the natural healing process, and soothe any tension. In addition to its delightfully bright aroma, chamomile is a mild nervous system sedative, which means that it gently reduces restlessness, anxiety and insomnia. 

Lavender flowers and essential oil

Lavender is excellent for calming tension and muscle spasms, as well as clearing the mind from stress-induced headaches or insomnia. Thanks to its antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, lavender also protects and soothes the skin, and supports its natural healing process. Our pregnancy bath salts contain both full dried lavender flowers and added lavender essential oil. 

Rose geranium essential oil

The sweet and floral essential oil of rose geranium is soothing and balancing. It promotes relaxation and emotional stability. It benefits both body and mind with its ability to clear up restlessness, tension and grief. It gently cleanses the skin with its antimicrobial properties, preventing any infection and bringing a radiant glow to the skin. 

Roman chamomile essential oil

Roman chamomile is a gentle, mild sedative that helps to promote relaxation, and calm a busy mind. It has a comforting and calming scent which promotes relaxation and has been shown to alleviate stress and anxiety.  It can also help promote a good night’s sleep, which is very important and sometimes elusive during pregnancy.

This product contains himalayan pink salt, almond oil, calendula, oat straw, rose, chamomile, lavender, lavender essential oil, rose geranium essential oil and Roman chamomile essential oil

Add 3 to 4 tablespoons directly into a bath or footbath. Alternatively, add 3 to 4 tablespoons into a muslin bag, pull its strings closed and let it infuse in the bath. Empty the contents of the muslin bag after use, and reuse as needed. Do not use on infected, irritated or broken skin. Take extra care not to overheat skin with bath water. Keep out of direct sunlight.
